The American Shorthair was born in Europe, and after becoming popular in America it was professionally bred, and became a cat loved throughout the world. Cats who earn their food and rent by protecting the house from mice and often called working cats, and the American Shorthair is the most prominent of these cats While it does have its wild, hunting side, it is also a very kind cat that is great with children. The male's fur is easier to manage than the female's, and it seems like they are more easily spoiled.
