Cats and Other Animals
They trust each other!
The ability to have cats and other animals depends first on the age of the cat. Cats adapt to other animals most easily in the first 2 to 3 months of their life, and have a harder time adjusting to new things as they get older. Also, while the compatibility with the other animal is important, there's no way to tell how it will go until you try having them live together. For example, in the case where you have a dog before getting a cat, in most cases they can adapt, and when if you already have a cat, it is easy for the kitten to get along with the older cat.
