The mackerel tabby cat has silver fur thinly striped with grey. They inherited their stripes from their Libyan wildcat roots, so they are sometimes cautious towards everything like the classic brown tabby. A prominent feature of the mackerel tabby is that if you are easy on them even once, they become very spoiled.
