If the owner takes care of, holds, plays with, and touches the kitten a lot during this time, it is easier for them to become used to humans, and they can become good house cats. Touching and holding the cat is as important and has a similar effect as the mother cat cleaning the kitten and helping it relax, and making it feel safe through sharing body heat.
